In 2008 The Private Musical School "S-ART" in Wroclaw (main Organizer International Festival of Accordion Music "From Baroque to Jazz") celebrate the 10th anniversary of the school.

In 1998 the Suslov family set up the Private Musical School "S-ART" in Wroclaw.

Despite the fact that the school is quite new it has been a success. The soloists have been awarded several prizes (e.g. at the International Piano Contest "Citta di Minerbio" in Bologna (Italy). The accordion orchestra Harmonica of the Private Musical School "S-ART" in Wroclaw is the winner of many awards e.g. the second place in the Polish Festival of Accordion Music in Mlawa - 2002, the second place in the Polish Festival HARMONIA - VIVA in Wroclaw – 2003, first place in the VII CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE PER FISARMONICISTI “Citta di Lanciano”.

We invite you to another concerts and accordion courses (master class) in November and December. We will inform you of places and dates concerts and courses next month.

Information

During the festival there were 30 concerts. Centre took place competition auditions, in which participated about 100! Accordionists, among others: soloists and ensembles from Music Schools 1st and 2nd grade, and also from Music Academy of LITHUANIA, MOLDOVA, NEW ZEALAND, POLAND, UKRAINE.

  1. The courses for accordionists: 19.11.- 22.11.2007 (Centre took place Wroclaw - Zachod, Chociebuska 4-6) conducted by - Vladimir Besfamilnov - professor at the Kiev Musical Academy.
  2. The accordion contest in five categories: 22.11.-25.11.2007. (Centre took place Wroclaw - Zachod). The contest jury chairman, Bogdan Dowlasz, professor at the Lodz Musical Academy.
  3. 3. The concert of prominent accordionist together with the Symphonic Orchestra “Ricordanza” 22.11.2007. (Centre took place Wroclaw – Zachod). J. Haydn - Konzert D - dur, Galyna Suslova - conductor. Bogdan Dowlasz - Concerto for accordion and orchestra , Barbara Sobolczik - conductor. Olexiy Suslov - Concerto Suite for accordion and orchestra (first performance). Among the soloist:
    • Eneasz Kubit - the prize-winner of the Klingenthal, Castelfidardo, Przemysl, Sanok, Warszawa, Pianello Val Tidone, Popradza, Czestochowa.
    • Oleksandr Khrustevich - the prize-winner of the I International Contest "FROM BAROQUE TO JAZZ" Poland - 2006, the Special Award of the Austrian Consulate in Krakow; The First international competition “Golden Accordion (USA, 2001) International Competition in Rzhev city (Russia, 2003), International Competition "The Cup of Kryvbass" (Ukraine, 2003), First International Accordion Festival and Competition AccoHoliday (Ukraine, 2006).
  4. The Evening of Romances: 20.04.2007 - Brzeg Castle Piastów Slaskich, 21.04.2007 - OK Milicz, 22.04.2007 - Philharmonic Theatre of Wroclaw. Tatiana Piminova (mezzosoprano), a soloist of the National Opera in Kiev, a well-merited Ukrainian artist. Olexiy Suslov (accordion) - well-merited for Ukrainian culture. Among the concert performers, there will be the accordion orchestra Harmonica (the prize-winner of the “Citta di Lanciano”2007. Italia) of the Private Musical School “S-ART” - conducted by Galyna Suslova. On the concert program, there are romance by M. Glinka, A. Borodin, P. Bulachow, A. Petrow, G. Swiridov, M. Tariwerdijev

From 6th till 25th January 2006 in Wroclaw and Brzeg (POLAND) took place

I ACCORDION MUSIC INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL

"FROM BAROQUE TO JAZZ"

under patronage of Lower Silesia Marshal’s Office and Austria Republic General Consulate in Krakow.

Jury Chairman was Professor of Music Academy in Lodz - Bogdan Dowlasz - composer, accordionist and pedagogue. Star of festival was Yurij Shyshkin (Russia) - international accordion competitions laureate: Klingenthal (Germany, 1988), Kansas - City (USA, 1990), Kastelfidardo (Italy, 1991).

Private Music School 1st and 2nd grade S-ART in Wroclaw was festival organiser.

There was contemporary music concert in Social and Cultural Activities Centre “Piast” in Wroclaw. During the concert listeners were bewitched with culture of express and melody sound and deserved thunderous ovations – players: Eneasz Kubit – accordion and Jan Skopowski – violoncello – students of prof. Bogdan Dowlasz from Music Academy in Lodz.

Also in “Piast” Centre took place competition auditions, in which participated about 100! Accordionists, among others: soloists and ensembles from Music Schools 1st and 2nd grade, and also from Music Academy of Lodz, Katowice, Poznan, Kharkov, Kiev and Petersburg.

There was about 1500 listeners during concerts of accordionist at Wrocław Philharmonic. With great success took place 3 concerts of accordionist Olexiy Suslov with S-ART Ensemble: Adriana Grochowska – violin, Andrzej Waloszczyk – percussion and dancing duet Irina Karpienko and Konstantin Kusztenko – solist of Opera Theatre in Wrocław. In programme – Hungarian and Gypsy dances, among others: J. Brahms, J. Strauss, P. Sarasate)

3 concerts in Piastów Śląskich Palace in Brzeg.

Laureates concert of Festival I Prize

Concert of festival star – international competitions laureate, Well-Deserved Russian Artist Yurij Shyshkin (in programme among others M. Musorgski – Pictures from Exhibition, A. Kusyakov – Sonata no VI)

During last concert 25.01.2006 which took place in Villa Andrzejówka, in a small chamber hall in Private Music School S-ART, specially invited guests heard the very first performance for accordion Sonata nr I performed by an author Olexiy Suslov. For mass audience we plan to present this piece at The II Accordion Music From Baroque To Jazz International Festival in year 2007 which will be performed by Laureates of The I Festival.
